This is an email response from a client I treated while he was on vacation to CA from South Carolina.  I emailed him to follow up after he got home to make sure all went well after his treatment with me:

Hi Dr. Patel,
I appreciate you checking on me.  I am doing much better and I praise the Lord that He led me to call you instead of going to the ER.  I was really amazed at how much difference your treatment made in such a short time.  It sure seems miraculous to me.  About 2 1/2 hours after you left I was able to stand up with help from my sons.  That I could stand at all was wonderful, but also the pain was much less as well.  I felt better as the evening progressed.  Since our flight was at 7AM out of LAX I got up at 3AM and felt slightly better and was able to take a shower.  I was also able to drive to the airport.  I had upgraded our airplane seats to business class so it would be more comfortable and Airtran had a wheel chair waiting to get me to the gate.  I did the little exercises you told me to do off and on during the flight and in Atlanta and in Charlotte I did not use the wheel chair, but took it pretty slow.  It was so good to get home since before you came to help me I really thought it would be several more days before I could travel.  I have been to my Chiropractor here four times since I got home and will go again today.  I still have soreness, but haven't missed any work this week.

PERSONAL TRAINING

"I am currently in graduate school, so I spend a lot of time sitting in classrooms and studying.  I did not get a lot of exercise because I always felt so tired by the end of the week.  I use to run during the summers, but when school would start up again, I found excuses not to run anymore.  I decided to start training with a personal trainer because I figured if I scheduled it into my schedule, it would be easier to do.  And it worked.  It was harder to come up with excuses because I had already put it into my schedule.  I was no longer constantly tired from school...I found that I have more energy now that I exercise regularly.  I feel healthier, stronger, I don't get sick nearly as often anymore, and I my eating habits are much healthier too."

"I am a 73 yr. old male who has been a member of the One-On-One training program for 5+ years.  I have been training with Avani for 1 year.  Whereas, I was in pretty good shape, health, weight, etc, my goal nevertheless was to remain flexible, agile etc, simply able to take long brisk walks, as if I were still 16. The One-On-One training program was doing that for me.   I never thought I would feel so good after each session.  However in the last six or so months, I began to experience lower pain in my back.   It has now been diagnosed that besides my lower spine scoliosis, I have lower lumbar stenosis. Thus there were significant issues that were threatening my initial goal.  Dr. Avani Patel, D.C. a fitness personal trainer (and chiropractor) guides my training program, twice a week.  Because of her training and education, she completely understands the problem, instructs me in the correct exercises and strength training that now are beginning to completely mitigate the pain I was having.  Will I ever be totally cured, probably not, but under Avani’s care, direction and encouragement, my original goal is now back on track.    I know what to do when I am having excess distress. I can manage the pain, and I look forward to my training sessions with Avani."
